THANK GOD FOR CHRIS BAKER AND MY KTRH ATTORNEY!

MEMORABLE MOMENTS BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE RICHARD KING VERDICT!

When Harris County sheriff's deputy Richard King was cleared of aggravated assault by a public servant Wednesday he wanted to thank KTRH talk show host Chris Baker. He said without voices like Chris Baker he doesn't know what would have happened to him. King, who faced 99 years in prison, said Baker supported him on the airwaves non-stop. It was back in July 2005 when King shot and disabled a man who was leading deputies on a high speed chase. Eventually the veteran of the force was indicted and brought to trial. In 30 minutes on Wednesday he was cleared by a jury of his peers. While outside the courtroom King also said he wanted to thank his department for supporting him, his Fraternal Order of Police attorney Richard Cobb and his KTRH attorney Chris Tritico. Tritico stunned by the proclamation quickly corrected King and told him I'm not your KTRH attorney but your counsel from a private practice. Tritico also hosts a talk show on KTRH for the record. King, who was all smiles and thanking God, did a long list of interviews with tv, radio and newspaper reporters. When he made it to the outside of the Harris County courthouse he told The Insite - finally a reporter I recognize and then said "Hi, Isiah how are you?" Just a slice of The Insite's life!

so you are tight with trigger happy deputies?

In my estimation we need a few hundred more "trigger happy deputies" just like Deputy King.

Deputy King thought there may have been an abducted and sexually molested 13 year old girl in the van at the time.

Jahuey was endangering every person on the road that day and probably would have killed someone had the chase been allowed to continue. The deputies could not allow the chase to be aborted however due to fears for the child's safety. Shooting the bastard was the best option they had. I for one am saddened Jahuey was only injured instead of outright killed, since the family of the 13 year old (who happens to be Jahuey's estranged niece) has taken her out of state to prevent her from testifying against Jahuey. Jahuey is walking around a free man, and that should never have been possible.

COntrary to the first post statement most of law enforcement is not trigger happy. Take a good look at people who are shot by police. How many of them are upstanding citizens? Hardly any, and the general public sighs with relief everytime a scumbag goes down, clapping with glee.

In this case the law enforcement agent was cleared of any wrong doing so I guess he isn't trigger happy after all.

"hardly any" are upstanding citizens? BS...name one person...just one...that either HPD or HCSO shot that was not a turd, through and through. Hard to do, isnt it? ( and that hispanic "kid" that was shot in the head by a former HPD officer WAS fighting the officer, by the way)On the other hand, whenever a turd IS shot (especially if he happens to be black...or hispanic, well, really, only when he is black or hispanic) it is a racist cop, trigger happy cop that shot him. It's a murder and a violation of his civil wrights. The poor brother or hombre was just trying to get home to clean his momma;s house before he went to church. BS! These men have families, they have mortgages, they have tuition for thier kids, they have dental bills, car notes and insc. They pay taxes, they contribute to society and give without taking. And the media and ignorant turds and turd supporters wish to demonize them for killing a suspect in self defense? A turd that in 98% of the cases...no...99% of the cases has never held a job, has an extensive criminal history, does not contribute to society but only takes, like a parasite, that has 0 education? YOU FOLKS ARE AN EMBARRASMENT and YOU FOLKS DO NOT DESERVE to have police and firefighters protect your sorry asses. I for one would like to see 1 month out of every year where police and sheriff depts. across the US go on vacation and absolutely no police of any kind answer your whiney butts for help.
