WOODFILL: I WANT THE MAYOR TO RELEASE THAT REPORT!The Harris County Republican party has put the city of Houston on notice. If you don't turn over the comprehensive annual financial report you will be sued. Jared Woodfill of the Republican party sent a demand letter to Mayor Bill White. He says the report should've been made public 7 months ago but so far the city has yet to release it. Here's the letter The Insite has obtained that was sent by certified mail by Woodfill to the Mayor:

Good - it's about time the mayor is held accountable for this. Kudos to Jared for taking action.
I think the Harris County GOP and Texas GOP are scared to death of Houston Mayor Bill White (D) because they know he's going to be the next Governor of Texas in 2010 once he kicks Perry to the curb.
Perry will be kicked to the curb but ol' Billy boy won't be the one doing the kicking......
Billy is just following in the footsteps of that great steward of the taxpayer's money (or so Billy says) METRO, which did the same thing with their 2006 financial reports as well. Tom Bazan had to get bot the OAG's office as well as the HCDA's office involved to get METRO to move off of top dead center.
I'm glad the HCRP is holding Mayor White accountable. Keep it up!
