THE FINANCIAL IMPACT OF DOG FIGHTING - MICHAEL VICK - OVER $100 MILLION GONE JUST LIKE THAT!

SALARY, BONUSES AND ENDORSEMENTS - ALL GONE!

Michael Vick is certainly paying a price for his role in a dogfighting ring. And a big chunk of that "price" is coming out of his wallet. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is estimating that Vick has incurred financial losses of $142 million in connection with the dogfighting case. That amount includes the $71 million in lost salary from the Falcons, as well as $50 million in endorsement income and nearly $20 million in previously paid bonuses. And to top it off, along with his prison term, Vick is being fined $5,000. He will also have to serve three years' probation after his release. In the meantime, Vick faces trial in April on state dogfighting charges.

As a dog lover, Football fan and an African American, I was SHOCKED and ANGRY after hearing about Vick's callous actions and his ties to dog fighting.

But as a justice loving American, I am now disturbed and disappointed by the harsh sentence imposed by the judge.

The punishment is too HARSH and does NOT FIT THE CRIME.

The punishment is NOT to HARSH! Sometimes, the more you have, then the more you have to lose.

Celebrities need to be sent messages that inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

The NFL, NBA, MLB, and other sports need to stop drafting these inappropriate role models and get their acts together.

Well there are "inappropriate role models" on my job and they aren't losing anything.

I am just saying that fairness for one is fairness for all.

inequality for one is inequality for all.
