SHOULD KELLY SIEGLER SMILE?
I was watching a mini Republican debate on KTRK this weekend with the candidates running for Harris County District Attorney. The program was hosted by ABC 13 anchor Melanie Lawson. The candidates were career prosecutor Kelly Siegler and former Harris County Judge Pat Lykos. But what I noticed about the debate was the fact that Siegler never ever smiled. Not once. Even when Lawson introduced the ladies, Lykos beamed with a smile. Siegler didn't even attempt to crack one. Now, I write this post only because I can remember interviewing Siegler once or twice in the past. During those few sessions she was a very charismatic woman on camera. What happened to that? If you get a tape of the weekend debate you will see the proof. For the entire 15 minutes she was on the show there wasn't a single smile. Not even when Lawson thanked both of them for coming. I realize she's had a very tough way to go since the Chuck Rosenthal email debacle but I always thought politicians naturally put on their best face in public. But then again Siegler makes it very clear she's not a politician but a long time servant of the people as a successful prosecutor. What do you think, should Kelly Siegler smile despite the rough time she's having in the District Attorney's race? When I say tough time I don't mean poll wise but media scrutiny!
It was because there was no men onstage silly. She needed some men to think about after it was all over. Must have been a miserable 15 minutes for Kelly.

she should be smiling though, because her victory will mean four more years of Chuck Rosenthal style racist, sexist and unjust practices in the district attorneys office.
Siegler is all about winning so thats why you don't see a smile on her face. I really hope that she does lose in this primary because she needs to seriously take that chip off her shoulder.
ReplyDeleteWe all know that bad guys (and gals) need to be dealt with, but her approach is straight up draconian. Yes punish people to the max I agree, but sometimes there are other circumstances to consider.
She's been in Chuck Rosenthal's cloak room for too long to affect and real change.
One of these Republicans will eventually beat C.O Bradford UNLESS the entire white male population of harris county stays home in November.
Its will be very strange to see so many offices in Harris County go Democrat.
She is not smiling because Lycos has the goods on her and Michael Berry is on her side....
ReplyDeleteKelly is as Narcissistic as any definition of this mental illness can describe. Kelly does NOT do what is right by the people. She cares about her reputation only. If yall only knew what a B**** she is nobody would vote for her. Those who do know her hate her passionately for the horrible things she does. Do yall remember what she said about the people who attend LAKEWOOD CHURCH? You should hear what she says and really feels behind closed doors.

ReplyDeleteSiegler is the best PERIOD! All the rest are just Wal-mart greeters compared to her. Bradford has a history os shoddy management practices (crime lab/ K-Mart fiasco) and has no prosecution experience. Quit basing you vote on color and vote for the best person for the job!

Who ever said anything about RACE you idiot. Did you forget that Judge Pat Lykos is in this race and probably going to whip Kelly's grandstanding &*%# in the run-off on April 8, 2008. So who is thinking color now you typical Kelly Siegler/Rosenthal racist pig. I am a white male long time conservative and very IN THE KNOW about kelly. You are just like her by your racist comment. Pat Lykos is the most fair and therefore competent for this job. You intentionally neglect to mention her for fear of Judge Lykos winning and exposing yall for who yall have become hiding under the Rosenthal/Siegler unbrella.

Kelly Siegler is the most qualified candidate to run for the office in 12 years, some would say more. So she doesn't smile, wear designer clothing, or act like a debutante; she's still the most qualified person for the job.
ReplyDeleteBradford is an okay guy as long as things are going his way and there is no public pressure on him. That's when his true political savvy comes out; principles be darned.
Lykos and her lynch mob mentality was out of date 40 years ago when she was a cop so let's just let the mean old crank fade away. She shows no respect for civil rights and while she gives you that politicians smile you seem enamored with, her actions are well documented against men of faith, students, juveniles without their lawyers present, her clerks, and fellow judges to name a few.
The comments made here and elsewhere are just feeble attempts at tying Siegler to events and people that she was not in charge of. If the CEO of FOX Broadcasting made a slip of the tongue, would any of us blame Isiah for it years later? I would hope not so you should extend the same courtesy to Siegler.
To the ADA(ass.DIST ATTY.)who defends his job/kelly S: When a friend of hers left drunk from her X-MAS party she got on the witness stand and defended her so as to limit her own liability and reputation. Oh yeah she spews her garbage that the police back her; When she testified for her drunk friend, she stated," HPD DWI task force was a bunch of overzealous types". She trashed them for her own good. The Harris County Sheriff's Dept backs her: another laugh if you watch any of the news. And yes it is all true about that topic. To continue, do we need to pull out the pictures and witnesses over the decade plus that proves her "fling" w/ that other high ranking official? Why do you think the homicide guys all her. They are intimidated by "HIM" Need we name names Mr. ADA? Please VOTE for Judge Pat LYKOS. Let's give the boot to this grouchy, racist, cop-hating, Rosenthal loving dirt bag kelly s.

THANK GOD ! The voters of Harris County have spoken and the wicked witch, Kelly Siegler has been thown out of the election. There will be a good positive change now.
