THE TSU THREE NOW IN FEDERAL COURT!

DR. SLADE MAY BE CALLED TO TESTIFY!

The three students who blew the whistle, leading to the criminal charges against then-Texas Southern University President Priscilla Slade are suing the university for alleged retaliation.

The civil trial got underway today in Federal Court. In 2004, TSU students Oliver Brown, William Hudson and Justin Jordan stumbled upon a pile of paperwork.

Documents they believe proved some administrators were misusing university money. They forwarded the paperwork to everyone from Governor Rick Perry to the FBI.

The students ended up suspended from school and TSU had two of them arrested for identity theft. A judge dismissed those charges.

The three young men believe they were punished as retaliation. TSU officials say it was just punishment.

A jury will now have to decide if it was a fair punishment or retaliation.
