BLOGGERS TREATED VERY SPECIAL AT LOCKE'S WATCH PARTY!

I JUST HOPE THEY DON'T RUN THE INSITE OFF!

It's a sign of the times. A sign that bloggers are no longer just the fringes of journalism. Those who place their thoughts online without that formal training are getting the royal treatment at Gene Locke's watch party. He's running for Mayor of Houston. Locke and his staff have set up the bloggers with their own table just behind the mainstream media. Don't make me say the liberal media because that's just a buzz term. Anyway, it's good to see bloggers getting their respect. Locke was one of the first candidates to have an online town hall meeting. But we can't forget about Parker who has also embraced the online community. Her staffers boast one of the biggest online followings including those on Facebook and Twitter. In the meantime, I'm hoping no one calls me out and tells me to go to the mainstream media area because I'm a FOX reporter and part time blogger. It's like asking which came first the chicken or the egg!
