GENE LOCKE WINS EARLY VOTE IN THE BID FOR MAYOR!

It appears the polls were wrong when it came to the top vote getter in the race for Mayor of Houston...at least in terms of early voting. The preliminary numbers released from the Harris County Clerks office show Gene Locke has come out on top with the early vote. Coming in a very close second is Annise Parker, Peter Brown, and Roy Morales. Here are the final totals:

Gene Locke: 28% - 17, 183
Annise Parker: 27% - 17,169
Peter Brown: 26% - 15,387
Roy Morales: 16% - 9,451
