THE HOUSTON ASSOCIATION OF BLACK JOURNALIST ANNUAL DINNER!

THANKS TO ALL OF THOSE WHO ATTENDED AND SUPPORTED THIS GREAT EVENT!










































It was another successful year for the Houston of Association of Black Journalists. Hundreds of people turned out for the annual fundraiser held at the Hilton of Americas Friday night. It was an event designed to help young people get scholarships for college while honoring some of the best journalists Houston has to offer. The big honorees this year were Ralph Cooper, Richelle Carey, Roland Martin and Tony Wyllie. The event was spear headed by Mary Benton, Joy Sewing, Shere Cary, and a long list of other HABJ volunteer and staffers. The dinner featured the who's who from Houston media, politics and the business community. If I named everyone I saw I'd be here all day so lets just get to those pictures.

    I will try to attend this event next year. I will add a little more personality to that crowd. Melanie was looking great as usual. There were a few fashion disasters that will be the talk of the town.

    Mhhh, my gurl Gina Gaston looks terrible but I still like her as a sister. Is my gurl sharron melton pregnant? never had a clue she was when seeign her at the rodeo. Go go girl power.
