Len Cannon to KHOU TV 11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sources tell The Insite that KHOU has hired former NBC network correspondent and Today show fill in anchor Len Cannon as their new anchor. He steps in where Jerome Gray stepped out according to sources. Cannon has worked on Dateline NBC, served as back up anchor for Brian Williams and Tom Brokaw. He's worked in local markets such as the FOX flagship station in New York and as an anchor in New Orleans. And with those credentials believe me he is not coming cheap! KHOU is obviously pulling out all the stops to get him in Houston. Cannon is expected to start on the air April 10th...which means he's probably already in the city sizing up the competition.
CBS markets itself on the 50 and up market. Shows like Diagnosis Murder, and Walker: Texas Ranger appeal to both old and sweetly retarded audiences. As you can probably assume, this makes me incredibly horny.

ReplyDeleteHey Insite, do you have any insite on whether Jerome Gray will be taking Bill Balleza's position? I ask because, although I personally find Bill Balleza attractive, I've noticed that Channel 2 seem to be going for the "Beautiful People" look with their recent hirings. Would you know if they are going to re-assign him or make him dye his hair?

The hiring of Jerome wasn't to replace Bill. Bill has a firm position as 6 and 10 anchor. Dye his hair? Did you see it about 5 years ago when he did? Looked terrible...there's nothing wrong with an older anchor showing age a bit.
