LOUISIANA SECRETARY OF STATE SNUBBED BY MOST HOUSTON MEDIA!!!!!

WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOU ON OUR SHOW!!!!!

The Insite received a frantic call from the Lousiana Secretary of State's office. They had an early morning meeting with Katrina evacuees on Wednesday morning in Houston. The Secretary of state Al Ater wanted to educate the Lousiana residents about their voting rights and the upcoming New Orleans mayoral election. So his plan was to hit every local television station on the morning before the town hall meeting. That meeting was to be held at a church on N. MacGregor in Houston. But I was told by sources in Baton Rouge, La. that the secretary was turned down by every Houston station they called to come on their morning show. So the Insite got busy and contacted management at the station where I work...In less than 10 minutes Al Ater was confirmed to appear on that morning show. I hope other stations realize the importance of what they turned down. Even though some are fed up with evacuee related issues it's still our civic duty as broadcasters to keep the public informed and do everything to educate them even if they are from Louisiana.
