INSITE UNDERCOVER: I GUESS THEY'RE STILL PUSHING FUNDRAISERS AT THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE!

WOULDN'T IT BE ONLY FAIR IF THEY HANDED OUT BRADFORD FUNDRAISER FLYERS TOO?

This week the Insite made a stop by the Harris County District Attorney's office for an interview. What I noticed in one of the offices of an Assistant District Attorney was a stack of flyers. Flyers advertising a fundraiser and soliciticing financial support for D-A candidate Kelly Siegler. It's the same kind of fundraiser notification that got Chuck Rosenthal into trouble recently. He was criticized for allegedly using his office, computers and workers to raise money for his political war chest. While the situation is not exactly the same some may have questions as to why there is at least one stack of flyers in the D-A's office for Siegler's March fundraiser. One could also ask if Siegler's propaganda is being passed out in the office why aren't flyers being handed out for C.O. Bradford. He's the former Houston Police Chief who's also seeking the D-A's post. However, I could only assume workers at the D-A's office learned their lesson about emailing the invites through Rosenthal's experience. So now some are allegedly handing them out in person. Any comments on this issue? For those of you who have doubts about this latest practice - I snapped a photo of the stack of flyers on the assistant d-a's desk!

It is wrong to use a public office to seek election. Its one thing to be out on the streets handing them out, but its another thing to be in a government office doing it. Boy Rosenthal's lackeys are sure making it easier on Chief!!

The media attack on the DA's office continues.
A stack of papers on a desk does not mean someone is handing something out at work. Please.

Looks like Isiah has picked sides in the DA's race. So much for being objective

Yeah. They're going to have Bradford materials on their desks. Wonder if Bradford has ever tried a criminal case? No. Huh. Well, he's a perfect choice for D.A. No experience. Way to pick 'em, Mr. Carey.

Another useless media attack on a woman who has spent a career putting bad guys in prison.

Where is the chance for Siegler to respond???????????? That would be too fair, I guess. So when Isiah says he's attempting to keep us informed, I guess he really means "attempting."

I sure bet the criminals would like it if she became D.A. because they might get a chance to bang her before they went to prison....

If its a violation of the rules to use government resources to raise campaign funds, then why is everyone upset with Isiah?

I would imagine that Siegler has friends and family everywhere in the city so why would it be necessary to have any campaign literature in the office anywhere? Is it really that hard not to mix business with personal stuff?

Maybe its just me, but I think people who have the primary responsibility of upholding the law should really go out of their way to set an example for the rest of us.

Since any of us can comment on this blog, then I would think that Ms. Siegler has every opportunity to share her thoughts just like the rest of us.

Where was the media when Bradford was running his law firm out of the chief's office when he was the chief of police.

apparently anyone can comment on this blog, then have their comment removed within minutes, if someone doesn't approve.

maybe kelly did respond, but no one will ever know.

I am sure that Isiah has biases. I don't agree with some of the things that he posts on his blog; however, I don't think he has ever been intentionally unfair to the oppositions viewpoint. Based on Isiah's track record, he would post Ms. Siegler's comments along with his post if she had commented. Of course if you want to know whether she commented, you can always call her on the phone and ask her.

For the general public who does not know how the DA's ofice works; these bloggers defending kelly are attempting to save their cush little jobs. 1201 Franklin St. looks like someone finally turned the lights on and the roaches are scrambling. When you abuse power this happens. I don't feel sorry for them.

Since you clearly do not care about the truth, I will tell you the truth. Someone, NOT an ADA, gave those fliers to an ADA and had them dropped off without being inside an envelope or folder. They were given to that ADA for him to use on his own private time. They were never distributed during work hours nor at the courthouse.
Isiah, you really should be ashamed of yourself for posting such biased things. Did you feel proud when you snuck a shot with your camera phone and posted this blog, without bothering to ask the ADA for the truth. Really? Does this make you a respectable reporter?

ok ADA defender, I don't work there but am just an everyday voter. And tax payer. When that"someone" gave them to that on-duty government employee, wasn't that a problem to accept it while on duty? Even if she finds a "loophole" around it, with all the media scrutiny and public interest in this Hot Election year, why then take the chance? As a voter, I have to question anyone at the DA's office right now for this while under a microscope.

CLEAN HOUSE @ Harris County! Some one new please. Chuck should go to Jail and Kelly to Hollywood. Didn't she already win an Oscar? She has always been a legend in her own mind anyways.

Rosenthal and Thomas had a dynasty of corrupt power. Why not have another one with kelly and DB? That would be a real soap opera wouldn't it?

I just love how all these idiots can post all these unsubstantiated claims. So much for the theory of an educated electorate. I think you all are fucked in the head....and way too eager to watch this county swirl down the toilet. Do you all really think C.O. Bradford is so much better? He's THE biggest dumbass in this race......
