WHERE DO YOU STAND ON THE ABORTION ISSUE?

More than 800 men and women crammed into a Westin Galleria ballroom Tuesday afternoon to celebrate a woman's right to chose. It was part of the anniversary of Roe versus Wade. The landmark Supreme Court decision that granted a woman the right to decide if she wants an abortion or not. The luncheon was packed with familiar faces to Insite readers. On that list: C.O. Bradford, State Senator Rodney Ellis, Former Council member Carol Alvarado, State Representative Ellen Cohen, Councilman Peter Brown, Chris Brown and the list goes on. The group was met by a protest group outside the hotel. Their story follows here on the Insite!

So sad to see so many "intelligent" people celebrating the the destruction of the most precious thing we have, human life.
ReplyDeleteI think this topic is so over used just like whether or not supports the death sentence. or whether a person should leave a newborn baby at a fire station because she doesn't want it.
ReplyDeleteYour gonna have people on both side justifying for and against. Theres really no final answer for any side.
I don't agree with the act of abortion. I also feel like that's a personal decision between that woman and whatever God she serves. Every woman I've known who has had one regrets it and years later wonder what would have happened to the child had they made a different decision. It's so, so sad.
ReplyDeleteBPB - I've got an uncle who felt that beating his wife should be a personal decision between him and his God too. My uncle said (every time) he regretted having to beat her and wished she would just understand that he was doing it because he loved her. Some people with common sense thought differently, not just because they didn't agree and it was sad, but because there was a serious crime being committed against another person. Spineless weanies say, "Oh how sad - but it's really not my problem." Look at a picture of a 10 week old fetus in the womb and a 10 week old fetus that has been aborted. Use common sense, and quit being weanies people.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely pictures of our local reps that believe in killing innocent babies and they’re so proud to show their support – what’s wrong with this picture?
ReplyDeleteIt was a great event, I saw alot of clergy there listening to Rev. Tom Davis speak. Abortion is going to happen whether it is legal or not. The people protesting outside the Galleria are also against birth control - they protest it at Planned Parenthood! If you want to lower the number of abortions, work to make birth control and sex ed more available!
ReplyDeleteMy question to any Pro Life member is how many children have you adopted today. If you believe in having the child no matter what, show some signs and start helping to take care of the millions of children that are in foster care. I don't believe in killing babies, that's absurd, but I also know I can't stop a woman who is determined to do so from ending an unwanted pregnancy.. wire hangers and all...
ReplyDeleteOne has no moral compass to advocate or enable partial-birth infanticide, and that is what these events are designed to do.
ReplyDeleteIf life does not begin at conception, why does the government jail anyone who has an eagle egg?
Bpb its not a good question about how many babies do a prolifer adopt because its not their responsibility. ITS THE PARENT(S) OF THE BABY.
ReplyDeleteThere are also alot of puppies at the pound that need homes also but could have been put to sleep if it werent for the animal advocate groups.
There is no real winner in this topic. Many years ago hanging a black man was so common that the fellas came out and brought their families to watch on a nice summer evening in the country.
hanging blacks was just as legal as owning slaves. Shit you could do what ever you want with that slave woman, you could rape her, beat her, and literally kill her because that was your property, it was both socially acceptable and LEGAL.
JOLO kinda sees abortion the same way. there is no real winners in the near term and in the long term
I will not vote for any of the people shown in these pictures.
