ROUND #1 GOES TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION!
KTRK-TV 13 investigative reporter Wayne Dolcefino was successful in civil court Friday - putting a stop to Harris County Sheriff Tommy Thomas' new shred emails after two weeks policy. Wayne filed suit against the department challenging the controversial policy that would destroy all emails at the sheriff's office. Today, a judge granted an injunction - in effect stopping the policy. The department's new email destruction rule comes just weeks after the email scandal at the Harris County District Attorney's office...In case no one else will say it - what Dolcefino is doing will help all members of the media in Houston!
I bet old Wayne wasn't smiling so big in his mug shot when he was arrested for trespassing in Austin County.
ReplyDeleteAt least Wayne was not intimidated to get the real story. Tommy Thomas has something to hide so he used his Saturday morning coffee buddies to do his dirty work. Makes Thomas's connection to Hermes even more questionable. Hopefully the F.B.I. will now investigate these thieves in Harris County.
ReplyDeleteTonight the Sheriff is still being defiant about the e-mails. The federal Judge is tearing Rosenthal a new one and still Thomas is defiant. The County Attorney has even urged Thomas to reconsider, and still Thomas is defiant. Throw this bum from office too! Who does he think he is. This is OUR county Sheriff Thomas. You can... and will... be replaced!
ReplyDeleteWayne is a fucking baffoon.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the details of Wayne Dolcefino's recent arrest?
ReplyDeleteI don't know but the lack of reporting on the Wayne Dolcefino arrest demonstrates that there is a conspiracy of silence amoung the media. It calls into question their accuracy on all their reports. If anybody else of Dolcefino's stature had been arrested under similar circumstances, it would be all over the news even Fox 26. Hippocrites.
ReplyDeletewayne went onto hermes property when he was working up the story. I don't agree with it but without a no tresspass warning sign it is questionable to get charges without first being warned by the property owner and the local sheriff.
ReplyDeletesheriff thomas is coffee drinking buddies with the locals out here. It is real obvious how he was able to get a warrant on wayne on hermes behalf.
You may not agree with wayne's method but the truth about thomas and hermes is far worse than wayne walking onto someone else' property.
lets see if I have this right.. Shortly after the DA email scandal our fine sheriff Thomas decided to delete his using the lame excuse he was just clearing up some space. Then shortly after Wayne got an injuction stopping our fine sheriff from deleting his email he got arrested for trespassing on Thomas's neighbors property..It just so happens this neighbor is Hermes that has received millions from Harris County. Who in hell does hermes think he is that a reporter cant question someone that has received these contracts. I personally think if someone has received millions from a government that he has in effect gave up his right to privacy from a reporter.. Having Wayne arrested is nothing less than intimidating a witness.. These people are nothing more than a bunch of thugs and should be indicted for engaging in organized criminal activity and corruption.
ReplyDeleteThe Sheriff's Dept. has a long standing tradition of being a corrupt dispicable organization. Just look at the debacle that they call a jail downtown. I guess it comes from the top down because in my profession I have to deal with them from time to time. I cant think of a better example of classless mental midgets. They are a THUG organization that should be dismantled. They bring shame to fine police units everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWhy not tell us how the Sheriff's Office is corrupt and supply the corroborating evidence. Any moron can make an allegation. Supply the evidence or STFU!
ReplyDeleteIt should be noted the Wayne the mental midget stopped the deletion of emails after the vast majority of those emails had been deleted. Wayne is such a hero. *yawn* Master strategist Wayne Dolcefino didn't anticipate the move by the Sheriff's Office? lol..stupid.
ReplyDeleteFor the person who doesn't know jack about the Texas Penal Code section on trespassing, you might want to do some reading before discussing the matter any further. The Penal Code is not a difficult read. I think even you might understand the various ways to trespass.
ReplyDeleteThe HCSO is nothing but shady trash from the top on down. I don't have to dig into what they have done, the media is doing a fine job. When Tommy Thomas gets beat in the next election, and he WILL get beat, I hope you cronies can find new jobs. Perhaps rent a cops? You jerks have no business carrying firearms.
ReplyDeleteTommy Thomas needs to be replaced. Harris County has been on the news so many times and something needs to be done asap. Everyday I'm downtown by the jail and I see different news stations. This is sad and those emails where ridiculous. Racism still exist.
ReplyDeleteOK, it's over and done. Dolcefino and the media have their new Sheriff. Thankfully, I no longer live in Harris County and won't have to live with the voter's decision. Tommy Thomas is a good man who was in a difficult job. His successor is in a difficult job. Whether he is a good man will be seen, but we probably won't hear about it in the media.
