BUSTED RED HANDED BEHIND THE WHEEL!
The Insite was out covering a story when I stumbled upon some breaking news. Houston Police officers caught some suspects riding in a car they didn't own. How did HPD investigators know that? It was a bait car the department put on the street to catch car thieves. Two men from the Fifth Ward area took the bait and ended up in handcuffs. One of the suspects had priors for a previous car theft that was dismissed. But I'm sure this charge will likely stick. What the suspects didn't know is while they're riding around thinking they've outsmarted someone there are video cameras in the car rolling. There is also a GPS device tracking their every move. The end result a very embarrassing and self incriminating situation. Here are the pictures the Insite snapped on the scene!
We need more of this type of crime fighting tools. Maybe a bait house with real valuables inside.
ReplyDeleteIf more people get arrested from these activities, the word will get out in the hood that people are getting arrested from breaking into these bait cars and maybe the crimminals would get real jobs.

I actually chuckled when I read this. I would LOVE to see the video of them riding around in the bait cars thinking that they're stolen.
