JUST HOW FAR SHOULD PROTESTERS GO?

ATTACKING CHUCK ROSENTHAL AT THE FEDERAL COURTHOUSE!

It was Thursday afternoon when Harris County District Attorney Chuck Rosenthal was leaving court for his contempt hearing when he likely got an ear full. It was at that moment when several reporters heard some folk yelling. It sounded like dozens of them but it was only about 4 people. They were yelling the following: Chuck Suck, *uck Chuck, you racist, resign bigot, and Rosenthal is a coward. Some at the scene felt it was a bit much and way over the top. One reporter told a heckler that was enough as we were engaged in an interview with the plaintiff's attorney in the case. The same thing happened on Friday but on a smaller scale. There was only one guy present and the US Marshals had their eye on him as Rosenthal left the federal building. But he also had some very tough words coming from his mouth about the District Attorney. My question to you guys - can some protesters go too far? Would you kick someone when they're down if you felt strongly enough about it? The Insite would love to hear your opinion on this issue!

Well, what do ya expect? If it was a black man in the same possition, nobody would be protesting. Nobody would care, and they damn sure would not be protesting at his home or yelling obscenities at him. It is just the sign of a people that have no class and no idea how to behave in a polite society. I pitty the future for my children.

  3. My 2 cents (as an African American).....what can all that name calling really do??.....I think that Rosenthal has and will suffer more in terms of embarrassment and shame....In addition.... he basically committed "political and professional suicide" by not just admitting he was wrong. His allies might have stuck by him.(i.e. "Give the guy a break...we all make mistakes") His opponents are just enjoying the poetic justice. From what I understand his insensitivity to race (for lack of a better term) has been common knowledge at the courthouse for years....I think the hecklers should "keep it civil" (no pun intended) as KARMA WILL HIT CHUCK HARDER THAN INSULTS...my grandfather told me...the same people you see "going up" are the same people you see "going done"...food for thought...you do the dishes

Protesters need to crank it up. For years, Former Assistant District Attorneys, Defense Attorneys and Police Officers have all joked at the actions that take place there. It has been said," there is State law and then there is Harris County law".
Ask any of these people and you get the same. Clean Rosenthal's office and his cronies; kelly, vic, jane, mark and on and on and..........

Here's my prediction on the Rosenthal scandal:

    1. Rosenthal will still refuse to resign and intends to serve out his 2nd term.

    2. Former Houston Police Chief CO Bradford (D) will win the Harris County District Attorney's office in a landslide on Nov. 4th with 64% of the vote.

    3. Houston City Councilman and Mayor Pro-Tem Adrian Garcia (D) will take down the good ole boy incumbent Tommy Thomas (R) in the Harris County Sheriff's race by a margin of 56% to 44%.

    4. Harris County will go to the Democrats in 2008 like Dallas did in 2006.

    5. State Rep. Rick Noriega (D-Houston) will defeat unpopular incumbent United States Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) in the Texas Senate race: 50% to 49%, cementing that Texas is on the verge of going back to the Democrats down the road.

Its funny how its the same group of people who protest everything in this city. I think every other week this group of professional protesters, since all they do is protest about anything and everyone. Have they ever protested against anything a black person has done wrong? Where were they when TSU was getting run into the ground? Where were they when Bradford was running his law firm out of the Chief's office and allowing the HPD crime lab become what it is today? Where were the protest? This same group of protester lead by Mr. X who only cares when a camera is around drives around in his Hummer all day, lives in Pearland and is not married to a Black women. Does anyone see a problem with this? He only cares if the cameras there!!! Mr X is probably still mad at the DA because his office is the one that threw Mr. X in jail when he was a drug dealer some years back. I bet he pays the same taxes today as he did back then too, since he doesn't work and claims to be a non profit. This is just getting really old.

Right on, on the predictions. I am a life long Republican. More times than not bt straight ticket puching. It is now time for a change. I have seen first hand the corrupt tactics of chuck, tommy, bob, steve and jerry. I am ashamed of the Republicans we have. I do not want Bradford or Garcia anymore than most. But our current boys are in fact tainted goods. USDA Dissapproved!
It's time for a change and they must go. Let's clean house and if the new ones don't act right we can replace them in 4 years. Just stop defending the law breakers.
Rosenthal and Thomas.......Into the MUD scum bags!!!!!!!!!!

This is what I have been discussing with friends. Why all of this now? I don't have any proof, but they seemed to have pissed off some powerful folks to get the backlash they are getting now.

This prediction will be true, and with it (as you forgot to carry the thaught to it's inevitable end) crime will also skyrocket to levels only dreamed about before (just like Dallas) and taxes will be higher and higher for those that actually work and produce something, contributing to the overall good of society, in order to pay for social "gimmee" programs favored by minorities and democrats. Oh yes..changes, they are a' comin, and the writting on the wall aint good.

The original accusation made in court was that Ole' Rosie had a "goode 'ole boy" relationship with the high Sheriff of Harris County, Sheriff Tommy. The e-mails were supposed to prove that.
    Focus, media, focus.

HELLO ! Thank God they ARE focused. Have you forgot (intentionally)that Chuckie deleted 2500 e-mails AFTER a Federal Judge told him to hand them over. Oh, and then the high Sheriff went on the same deleting spree by telling his people to delete after 14 days. Oh, and then the County Attorney has told the high Sheriff his new policy is probably not legal. Duh! The relationship is being hidden by theses two %$@&*. This is typical County coverup. How much more of this crap can we stand. I think the voters are ready to do something about these losers.

Your predictions suck and all you dumbasses have no idea of what you speak. This much I know, there isn't more than 40% of the REGISTERED voters in Harris Co. who will vote for an ignorant porch monkey to run the D.A.'s Office. And Garcia as Sheriff? Are you for REAL??????? He's just as ignorant as Bradford...both cut from the same shitty HPD cloth. They don't have a clue, much less a snowball's chance in hell......

WOW, What a racist, ignorant and uneducated comment. You MUST either work for Rosenthal or Thomas.Would you share your location and other information for us under the Open Records Act? No we didn't think so, that's what got them two finally caught in the first place.
fyi.. I'm a w/m lifelong reublican. I'd vote for anybody other than these two idiots. When outed for what they've done and are still dodging, it's time for new blood in. If they can't do the job you unelect them as well.
Let's just see what the voters say in November. It's time to put your big boy panties on, Betcha it's going to be more than 40%!
