YOU CAN SMOKE IN AN AIRPORT IN 2008?

SHOULD ALL AIRPORT SMOKING LOUNGES BE BANNED?

I was shocked to see an actual smoking lounge when I flew into the Baton Rouge airport this weekend. I thought those things went the way of the dinosaur a long time ago. But there it was with an air filter, an electronic wall mounted cigarette lighter, television and black ashtrays set up in the corner. I did a quick search on the Internet before this post and it appears to be a rarity. There are only a handful of American airports that still allowing smoking. Are you surprised it still goes on? Do you think a well ventilated smoking section should be allowed or should they all be closed in airports? The Insite would love to hear what you have to say about this!

    1. There is also a bar connected to the smoke room (hint) you didn't take a pic of

    2. After seeing news about drunken pilots, poor kept maintance on planes, shit the remembrance of 911 make anyone want to fire up a smoke before/after getting on a plane.

Matter of fact, I'll be flying real soon where's that bag of weed that you had last week?

  2. In the Federal inspection building at IAH there is a smoking lounge. You have to understand people still smoke and if your flying 8 hours or more of an international flight your going to want a smoke.

I rather see them have a place for them to smoke rather then having them being obnixous on the flight

  3. Glad to see it. Right now they make us filthy, nasty second-class citizens go outside (have to go thru screening and security again).

There should be more airports like this....why should the goverment prohibit you from smoking if they're making money off the sales tax. One is fully aware of the consequenses of cancer but come on what now in days don't give you cancer.

I am glad to see a smoking room in the airport. As someone who travels to the u.s.a 5/6 times a year i only use airports that have smoking rooms. I pay more to use Washington airport as my first stop rather than cheaper New york airports, so i cam have a smoke after my 9hr flight while i wait my next connection
