BUCKLING YOUR CHILD IN THE SEAT PROPERLY!
The Rosenberg Police Department is proud to announce its participation in the State Farm® Eighth Annual Child Safety Day, scheduled for Saturday, May 10. The event will be held at the Rosenberg PD’s store front location in Brazos Town Center from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Rosenberg PD along with the police departments from Missouri City and Richmond will each have an officer at the store front location at 24502 SW Freeway in Rosenberg. The officers will inspect vehicles to ensure that child safety seats are properly installed, the proper size for the child, and for safety recalls. Richmond Police Department will be at the location fingerprinting children.
The day is designed to have parents focus on the importance of child safety seats and properly buckling up our youngest travelers. Adults in attendance will learn the proper way to place the safety seat into a vehicle. They will also learn about the dangers of having children in the wrong size safety seat according to height and weight.
State Farm® has hosted this event annually since 2001. Since the program’s inception more than 60,000 child safety seats have been inspected at approximately 1,700 locations. This year Child Safety Day will be held throughout Texas at more than 40 locations statewide.
For a small town, this Police Dept. has proven to be very impressive. I moved here recently from the BIG CITY. In Houston you are just a number. This PD really cares about its citizens. The become very involved in crime and whatever it takes to reduce it. The officers have proven to continue investigating/searching even after a report was taken. I cannot be more impressed bt their actions. This event seems typical of their caring ways. Keep up the good work RPD. I feel totally safe with these men and women working for us.
