Apparently, the US Army is offering big incentives for those willing to join.  If you were army age would you enlist.  Here's what Uncle Sam is offering in the 2009 package:Army offers many new incentives for joining in 2009; these include several types of cash signing bonuses, education bonuses, and additional incentives. 

  Up to $40,000 in Combined Enlistment Bonuses

  Up to $73,836 in Education Benefits

  Up to $14,000 for Deferred Enlistment

  Up to $20,000 for Seasonal/Quick Ship Bonuses

  $5,000 Bonus for High Demand Civilian Skill
