How much more of this can we take as Americans...Obama wants to tax Soda Pop and has sent a letter to Kellogg asking them to stop ads that say Cherrios are healthy for you.Wow..They are gonna DESTROY THIS COUNTRY.... And about Shiela...SShe will lose...BIG TIME this election. just wait.
The radio station are the ONLY ones telling the story ... Shiela Jackson Lee has chosen NOT to tell her side of the story ... this is UNUSUAL for her since her routine is to seek media attention.
The radio stations already pay a fee to ASCAP and BMI, as the report explained. Are the writers/owners of the music not paying the Record Companies? Seems to me that's who should be forced... not radio? And its the smaller stations that would be hurt -- not Clear Channel or CBS... seems really punative.
And why would this need to be a law? Seems to me that the recording artists could just refuse to allow their music to be played on the air without extra compensation. Then, of course, the less greedy artists and labels would get more airtime. That's just the breaks of playing hardball...
Anyone think the government should stay out of radio? Why is the government wasting taxpayer time and dime bothering with this nonsense bill. Shouldn't the government be worried about national security and the economy? This is just another federal power grab.

@Anon 11:41, what is the ENTIRE story?
I bet if she would've known there'd be a TV camera there she would've shown up...
ReplyDeleteNow there is a mental picture I could have done without.
ReplyDeleteThanks Isaiah, got any mind bleach I can borrow?
This is all connected to Sheila Jackson Lee not initially supporting Obama. The fallout continues.
