WOULD YOU EAT THIS FOR LUNCH?
I was on assignment with FOX 26 photographer Charles Hobson. He's a veteran in the industry. While we were driving to the Medical Center area Tuesday I started to get a whiff of this hideous smell in the car I couldn't reconcile. I checked my top lip (remember that from middle school) before I said anything. Then I asked Hobson what was that irritating aroma. He reached into the back seat of the news unit and pulled out two boiled eggs soaked in hot sauce. I thought how horrible was that. He said it was delicious. I told the photographer he had to get that from Mississippi, his home state. He swore we ate the same thing in Louisiana. I told him the closest thing I've had to that -pickled okra. During a break he downed the two eggs to my dismay. He called it a delicious lunch. I called it gross and I think I threw up in my mouth!
I think I got heartburn just from reading the story. And the images weren't much help either. lol
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this interesting concoction. Live and learn.
ACK! I thought it was some animals eyes!
ReplyDeleteDown in MS they teach kids how to make that in home ed....Keetie and I used to scramble the eggs before class started.....Just right after we had blown a nice one
ReplyDeleteDiff'rent strokes Isiah...
ReplyDeleteTwo huevos in a sack...ummm no thanks!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that is pretty gross!!! I just threw up in my mouth!
ReplyDeleteIt's whatever.
ReplyDeleteSome people think boudin is gross, but I love it. I think hogshead cheese is nasty, but like scrapple. I've smelled some horrific ish at Asian restaurants that have some kind of fish oil or paste, but people swear by it. It's all cultural and what you like.
I do not make judgements on what people eat. Different strokes...
