BROOKE TEAMS UP WITH PIMP C FOR NEW VIDEO!!!!
Virgin records executive tell The Insite Houston's own Brooke Valentine will soon be releasing a new song and video...This comes on the amazing success of her freshman effort and radio hit "Girl Fight". Valentine was in Houston last week shooting a video with UGK member Pimp C for her latest single. No word yet when the video will be on BET or MTV. But expect an interview soon with Valentine on tv and The Insite.

ReplyDeleteI think this girl is one of the most underrated current day vocalist out there. But I have ambivalent feelings about artist who no longer live in Houston and haven't lived here for years, trying to get in on the "HOT HOUSTON" gravy train when it's convenient.
ReplyDeleteBeyonce' and Destiny's Child did the same thing. When Slim Thug and Bun B could have used some exposure from Destiny's Child, they were no where to be found. After the city blew up, they want to start to use the local talent and want to start claiming Houston again after they haven't done so in years. None of the members reside in Houston any longer and really have nothing to do with the city ( I think we found that out when they came to Houston on their farewell tour and refused to talk to any radio stations).
Brooke Valentine has talent and I do wish her luck but I just hope she does not turn into the type to claim Houston when it is convenient. But apparently L.A. has been good to her over the past few years.
Scarface, Willie D., Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Chamillionaire, Lil Flip, Bun B, Pimp C, Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrel, Israel Houghton, George Forman, and all others that prove that you can get it done and still stay in the city, I applaud you.
