WILL BATON ROUGE MAKE A BETTER DALLAS???Hollywood location scouts have been all over the city of Baton Rouge, La. (The Insite's hometown) considering it for the possible location of the big screen edition of the tv show "Dallas". Alex Schott with the Louisiana governor's office says location scouts have been in the red stick looking for scenic locations to shoot the big budget movie adapted after the CBS tv show. Schott says Shreveport and New Orleans, La are also on the list for the tinsel town locale experts. John Travolta is expected to play the evil JR Ewing in the big screen edition while Jennifer Lopez is in negotiations to play boozer Sue Ellen Ewing. The movie is expected to be complete in 2007 once shooting gets under way. Baton Rouge was the location where the big screen edition of Dukes of Hazzard was shot. I wonder if they ever thought about using Dallas to shoot Dallas - that would be asking way too much...
That's just the way Hollywood works. They never use the actual city. It makes no sense to me.
ReplyDeleteBaton Rouge has a gteat track record. Anyone remember the pile of dung lnown as THE DUKES OF HAZZARD? Or how about that Britney Spears jewel CROSSROADS? Yeah, I think Baton Rouge is perefect for a POC like DALLAS.
