PICTURED: LAFAYETTE, GREEN (MENTOR) & FRANCIS!!!!!!
This honor goes to Patrick Green who has been a fixture in little league sports in the city of Baton Rouge, La. for about 10 years now. Green has been successful at guiding several young children on to college. Some of his success stories are Oliver Lafayette who was one of the high scorers at the University of Houston this year. Also on the on the list - former University of Southern California basketball player Ryan Francis. As many of you know Francis was recently shot and killed in Baton Rouge while visiting his mother for the Mother's day weekend. However, Green was instrumental in serving as a positive role model for the 19 year old and many others who pursue collegiate careers. The Insite has heard from Green, a former athlete himself, several times as he uses his own time and resources driving young athletes around the country to their colleges of choice. Young people he has mentored since their pre-teens. Great job to Patrick for stepping forward and caring about the young people in his community.
way to go Pat. I knew you had the potential to make it big on Zeke's Insite.

The community needs more role models like this. Pat is a ray of hope in a city that's becoming filled with violence.
ReplyDeletePat,
ReplyDeleteI always knew you'd be the new and improved Choo Choo.
I knew Patrick in high school and he has always been a good influence on his family and his friends. It's no surprise that he's making an impact through young people and sports.
