WHAT SOME ARE SAYING: STEVE FRANCIS WON'T GIVE UP ON HOUSTON!

MAYBE HE WANTS BACK IN AT THE ROCKETS!

Several people are saying apparently former Houston Rockets player Steve Francis loves the city of Houston because he can't seem to stop visiting. Even after being traded to Orlando Magic back in 2004 in exchange for Tracy McGrady. Francis, now with the New York Knicks, reportedly spends just about every other weekend in Houston. Here's a recent picture captured by our good friends at Indmix.com. The $14 million dollar man was in H-town just last weekend at a local party. Francis was also recently spotted at Scott Gertner's Sports Bar a couple of weeks ago according to Insite readers. So, the big question is should Francis move on or is it a good thing he constantly visits the Bayou City...or is he trying to send a message to the Rockets...Bring me back. Your comments are welcomed in the comments section. And yes T-Dub Walker - The Insite did do a sports story.

Well, personally I would love to see Steve back with Houston, as he would be a great power substitute whenever Tracey McGrady has to sit out with his back (I love Tracey but he seems to be out due to injury more than I personally like). I think Steve still realizes he has a lot of talent but also now realize he doesn't HAVE to be the number 1 star on a team and would be willing to let Tracey be "da man".

Now whether he ACTUALLY would like to come back to Houston because he has been seen about the town, I'm not so sure on. If I am not mistaken his off-season residence is still in Houston ( the lack of state tax and relatively low cost of living seems to make Houston attractive for a lot of athelets from what I understand). The NBA season is over so I'm sure we can more than likely start to see Sam Cassel, Nick Van Exel, Damon Staudomire (sp?), Antonio McDyss, etc., about town more.

Again, if Steve has been telling people he would like to return that is great but I hope people aren't starting to say that soley based upon seeing him in town more often.

  3. Francis will never see anything close to max money again. You can have him for cheap when his contract is up in three years. Even then he would be overpaid.

What a lousy teammate and huge whiner he turned out to be.

Francis wasn't a team player when he was in Houston. He complained and challenged the coach publicly much too often. Then when we sent him packing he cried like a bitch. He can't have his cake and eat it too. So Francis, GAME OVER.

How do they do a deal and would Van Gundy want him back. It's not possible. It's nuts. It's a shame a guy with his talent is stuck in a situation like the knicks.

All you have to do is throw in a few, "one game at a time," "play all four quarters," or "the season is not a sprint, it's a marathon," and you can be a full fledge sports reporter.

Steve Francis is allowed to tradel were ever he wants. If he likes it in Houston then w/e. Im sure other athletes travel to places more then once so stop making a big deal out of nothing. Steve Francis as of now is a New York Knick nothing you could do about it
