THE BIG FUNDRAISER ON THE COURSE!






The Insite made it to Wildcat Golf Club just in time Tuesday evening to get some photos. It's where my co-worker Melissa Wilson held her annual golf tourney. The event is part on each year in cooperation with Children At Risk. It's an organization that works to improve the quality of life of children at risk in the Houston area. They try and make a difference in our community through research, public policy, education and advocacy. Melissa's golf tournament serves as a fundraising vehicle for the agency's efforts. She tells me, "helping children is one of my biggest goals in life. I know there are thousands of children in our area who don't have the basics. That's why it's so important for me to get involved." That's exactly what Melissa and dozens of other golfers and volunteers did on Tuesday. They golfed for the children in our community. Some of the people attending were: Ann Swift, Diana Zarnuelo, Dr. Kevin Smith, Bob Snyder and the University of Houston dancers just to name a few!
