SCOTT DURFEE STILL AT THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE!

SOME THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO RESIGN AFTER THE PUBLIC THRASHING BY A FEDERAL JUDGE!

The Insite has been hearing rumors that Harris County Assistant District Attorney Scott Durfee was resigning. I learned he was still working at the District Attorney's office during a story Wednesday night on FOX 26. He was interviewed and appeared to be going no where. The rumors started after a federal judge issued a contempt order against Durfee's former boss Chuck Rosenthal last month. In that order not only was Rosenthal found in contempt for destroying emails in a civil case, Durfee was also a target of the judge's wrath. Kenneth Hoyt wrote, "Durfee aided and abetted Rosenthal, after the fact, in hiding Rosenthal's willful conduct." Judge Hoyt went on to say, "...the court finds that Durfee's actions were unprincipled and dilatory at best constituting a deliberate indifference to the court's orders and subpoena." The judge ended his written chewing of Rosenthal and Durfee by charging the men a substantial fine. Durfee was told to pay $5,000 for his actions as General Counsel for Rosenthal during the civil procedure. With that type of public thrashing and charges of intentional disregard for a federal judge's order one could see how some would believe Durfee might resign from the D-A's office. But as I stated earlier he doesn't appear to be going anywhere in the office that Chuck built!

This DA's office has no integrity left. Thank God a quality man is temporarily holding the reins until a new DA can be elected. We threw Chuckie out on the street and the great citizens of this County threw out the spare Rosenthal trash (kelly s.)to the curb as well. This guy is obviously milking the tax payers dollars during this transitional period. Lets keep up the pressure and put him where his ex-boss is. How bout some of Rosenthal's other problem children there such as Vic, Denise, Jane to name a few?
Rosenthal made a deal w/ the TX Attorney General's Office to stop their investigation of him and he would step down. Hmmmmmm...so to keep the total truth from getting him disbarred from his license? These bums should be have their license's taken away just like the Duke Lacross Prosecutor,Nifong.

Different day, same old sh*t! As usual these guys consider themselves to be special and above the law. They got off real easy with a fine (when they should've been imprisioned with the same "justice" they show the average joe in Harris County). This loser has no honor and no respect for the law, or his peers in the law enforcement community. I guess he does not have the integrity, or the gonads, to resign on his own.
