THE WHEELS OF NATIONAL LAWMAKERS!
It pays to be Speaker of the House: Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi made an appearance in Houston today. After the event at the Port of Houston she pulled off in her 2010 Cadillac Escalade with Secret Service agents driving and two other vehicles trailing. It was likely a rental because it had Texas plates unless there was a contingency of Secret Service officers from the Houston office chauffeuring her around. In the meantime, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee pulled off in what would be best described as a modest (2000 - 2005) Ford Expedition. I later ran into Congressman Ted Poe. He was behind the wheel of a Jeep Grand Cherokee like I had back in the day. He said it had 200,000+ miles on it and he didn't have plans to give it up. I joked with him saying he needed to upgrade like the speaker. Come to think of it, Poe's ride may just be my old car from a time long gone!

ReplyDeleteLOL and the are all about the poor.. I think I'd vote for the guy with the Cherokee with 200k miles I think he would be a better manager of my money.
