I GUESS IT'S A DEAL IN A NEW YORK SORT OF WAY!

WOULD YOU EVER PAY THESE PRICES TO LIVE IN THE BIG APPLE?



I was watching a movie that showed the more grittier side of New York city. Frankly, it was depressing. It also made me curious as to how much people are actually paying for rent in some of those small apartments. We've all either experienced or heard the outrageous rates for New York real estate. I wanted to see it for myself and I've learned all the rumors are true. Thousands of dollars for little to no space in New York. Living in the south has made me accustom to lots of space in homes and apartments at affordable rates. Looking at the prices in New York just blew me away. Here's one apartment unit I found online. It's one bedroom on Park Avenue. The price tag was $2550 a month and you get a total of 3 rooms. That's it. I also found a 3 bedroom apartment (pic with fireplace) for rent. It seemed to be really upscale and so was the price. Are you ready for this: $17,500 a month. There was also a two bedroom apartment for sale at $899,000. Who are these people? I guess there's a price to pay for living in the Big Apple. What has been your experience living or visiting there?
