PRIUS STILL ON THE ROAD IN HOUSTON!Things appear to be business as usual at the city of Houston. There are still lots of Toyota Priuses roaming the streets despite a possible recall.
The Japanese automaker is on the verge of recalling 300,000 of the environmentally friendly cars. Cars that have been a part of the city's going green effort.
At last check a spokesperson for the city said there were no current plans underway to pull the Prius from the city's fleet. Janice Evans said to the Insite in a text last week, "not aware of any directives issued to departments today." That's all subject to change once Toyota issues a recall on the vehicle for a brake issue.
This comes only days after the foreign car maker recalled more than 4 million other vehicles for a gas pedal problem.
