MUM'S THE WORD AT THE HARRIS COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE WHEN IT COMES TO METRO!

WE DON'T COMMENT ON ACTIVE INVESTIGATIONS - SORRY!

By now all of you know what's going on at Metro. We know at least three attorneys were terminated in the wake of allegations of documents being destroyed at the public transportation company. Those documents may or may not have been among those requested by Houston attorney Lloyd Kelley. He alleges there are questionable business practices going on at the agency. Just last week Mayor Annise Parker asked Harris County District Attorney Pat Lykos to investigate. The Insite placed a call to Lykos' office today to determine if a probe is underway. This is the response I received from spokesperson Donna Hawkins. I guess mum's the word:

“This office has a policy of not addressing speculation regarding whether a criminal investigation has been initiated.”
