HOUSTON AREA PARENTS SAY THE HOSPITAL AND THE MEDICAL STAFF WERE NEGLIGENT!

THEY WILL NEVER HAVE THE NORMAL CHILD THEY EXPECTED!

The Insite just spent 30 minutes reading a medical malpractice lawsuit filed in the Harris County court system. It left me depressed after seeing page after page of alleged incompetence in a Houston hospital.

A woman apparently went to have twins in September of 2008. The first child was delivered without any significant problems. It appeared the second child would be a difficult birth when the attending physician and nurses could not get the baby to come out as planned. By the time the child was born he was having medical difficulties. A 'CT' scan was done and it showed the child had a fractured skull.

Medical records in the lawsuit allege those injuries to the child caused by the staff lead to internal bleeding and even a stroke.

After the new born was hospitalized for nearly a month the Houston area parents got the bad news from the doctor and the hospital. They were told their child would likely never see or hear.

The medical staff also said the child would need help with speech and the ability to just care for itself in the future.

The family blamed the hospital, the doctor, the nurses, and other staffers. The lawsuit claimed the mother was never given the option of having her second child or the twin by Cesarean section. The parents have since filed a lawsuit in the Harris County court system.

The lawsuit made it clear near the end of all the documents how the parents felt...their medical team was negligent.

The child (twin) survived the birth and the aftermath but it appears it will never be what the parents want: normal like the twin sibling born only minutes earlier!
