Sometimes I ask myself why do the airlines even bother to pretend they care.
I was recently on a 3 hour flight from Texas to California. I was really hungry and prayed the airline I was traveling on would give us a decent meal.
It's the least you would expect after spending an arm and leg for a flight these days. Travelers are paying extra for just about everything associated with a flight.
Remember those days when your luggage didn't have to buy a ticket or the movie on the flight was free? Those days are long gone.
But back to my hunger and the decent meal I prayed for. Well, as usual I was disappointed again.
The flight attendants began their rounds on the plane and what they dropped in front of me for a meal was extremely disappointed. At first I couldn't quite figure it out. After a closer look it turned out to be some type of (turkey wiener) pig in a blanket with a side salad and a Kit Kat. Who eats that?
I decided to pass on my meal and suffer until I got to my destination. My plea to the airlines, if you're going to charge us for everything at least provide a decent meal on the plane...please!
IC,
ReplyDeleteDo you realize that, in real dollars, airline prices have actually fallen 25% since 1991? If airline regulation was like it used to be, prices would be 22% higher. Chances are, there would be a little more legroom and a better meal on that flight, but would you have been able to afford that airline ticket?
No response? You just want to pay less, and tried to blame Continental for it?
