It was at big day at the Houston Police Department. This comes as Chief Charles McClelland and Mayor Annise Parker welcome the newest cops on the streets of Houston. Tuesday night HPD graduated 65 cadets from Class #210. They are now officially police officers. Those new cops will help plug that hole in the aging force where hundreds of officers are expected to retire over the next few years. The graduates just completed a rigorous 26-week training regimen and will be added to patrol stations throughout the city to help respond to citizens’ calls!
