What was the alleged intimidation?
When a man identified as Andy West (who has made multiple requests from Jones' office according to staffers) arrived at the City Hall annex to pick up under the Open Records Act he was photographed by Jones' chief of staff Jack Valinski.
Just what purpose this picture taking served is unclear but the young man who was there to pick up the documents apparently felt intimidated according to his attorney.
The Insite has put in a request to get a comment from a spokesperson for Jones.
This is the latest in a series of mishaps that have plagued the council member as she prepares for her re-election bid.
The attorney who represents West - Billy Skinner - has placed the video on Youtube. You can see the female from Jones' office bring out the documents to West then a few seconds later Valinski comes out and starts taking pictures!

Statement from Jones' spokesperson: It's my understanding that a suggestion was made by a staff member to take a photo to document that the council member's office provided Andy West with the inconsequential documents he requested. The council member was not present. Andy West has made multiple requests of the council member's office for reasons that are unclear.

You know when you piss off the Mayor you better be ready for a fight. I'm glad CM J. Jones is a fierce, battle-hardened fighter for the people, and not a tool for the system like the Mayor and her cronies.
ReplyDeleteI know what thing if that SOB took pictures of me I would of jammed that camera down his feaking throat.Jolanda you are a joke and a damn shame to yourself and your family and your people.. You make us blacks look bad. And then mean time the district is full of crime and drugs and just going to hell. She is holding off cause she knows that this is it for her. She will not ever hold another poublic office position.
