The monster 6 hour newscast was nominated for best of the year by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
If you're not quite sure what that organization is just think of the golden lady. The Emmy.
Cordes and her morning staffers will know in November if they're the big winners when the Emmy awards are announced here in Houston.
KRIV is the only station in Houston nominated in this category.
The event is being held at Warehouse Live where I think there are still tickets available so act fast.
