OFFICIALS WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY SAY THE BAT VANS ARE OKAY!

Letter from DPS!

A technical expert from the Texas Department of Public Safety is disputing claims that Houston's Breath Alcohol Testing Vans are not reliable.

Ronald Oliver with DPS has sent a letter to Harris County District Attorney Pat Lykos stating as much.

It reads the vans may have variations while in extreme temperatures but once cooled down the units readings are accurate.

The letter comes during controversy for HPD's mobile fleet.

Some claim the vans don't give accurate testing results and a grand jury has been impaneled to probe the serious allegations!
