INSITE GUEST BLOGGER: HPD COP SAYS HOW DRUNK DO YOU HAVE TO BE????

THIS POSTING IS FROM AN HPD OFFICER WHO IS CONCERNED ABOUT DRINKING AND DRIVING!!!!

This morning I was making my way down US 59 to take a DWI suspect to our intox facility when another drunk driver almost hit me head-on as he drove the wrong way on the highway! Luckily, I was able to get him stopped before he hit some family head-on on Easter Sunday.How drunk do you have to be to get on the highway going the wrong way? Houstonians would be surprised to fins out that 3-4 times a month a drunk driver gets on one of the major highways in our city going the wrong way. They usually end up hitting some innocent person.As long as Harris County is easy on DWI suspects, the problem will continue to increase and so will the casualties. I’ll save this topic for a special entry in my blog later.In the meantime, watch out for the drunk drivers!
