

Ken Lay and Jeffrey Skilling found themselves at the end of mulitple guilty verdicts in federal court today. A jury of their peers found them guilty on enough Enron related charges that could send them to prison for the rest of their lives. Lay and Skilling were both accused of conspiracy and fraud in the 2001 demsie of Enron. The energy giant was once the 7th largest company in the country until it was hit by a wave of accounting scandals that caused the largest bankruptcy in U-S history. Both will be sentenced on September 11th.
This will make a lot of people feel better who believe the rich and white folks always get off.
ReplyDeleteThose people are ignorant. There is a double standard in the world when it comes to white collar crime- usually seen as less evil, but today it looks like that is not the case.

ReplyDeleteThe trial was great for Isiah- it gave him plenty of time to update his blog, plus it spared viewers from having to endure his rapper setup for drugs/ one sided allegation with no actual proof stories.
