MARY GETS THE STORY - NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!
Covering the verdict in the Enron trial was like a circus Thursday afternoon. Everyone was trying to get an interview with the subjects. But the person who went well beyond the call of duty to try and get a few words with Ken Lay is the reporter of the week. She gets this honor for her hustle at the Enron trial. She's none other than Houston's favorite, hardworking and dedicated reporter Mary Benton. She blocked me with one picture but the A-P or associated press caught her in action. Mary, please don't make me take them off. Get your credit for hustling at the Enron trial.
She may be falling, but look at that mic! She's got a firm grip on it and it's still right in Ken's face.
