RUMOR MILL RESURRECTS FORMER HPD CHIEF CLARENCE BRADFORD!!!!

IS HE RUNNING FOR THE JOB????

Sources tell The Insite that former HPD Chief Clarence Bradford 'could be considering' a run for top cop of the county. Insiders say Bradford may consider a 2008 bid for Harris County Sheriff. Several calls to Bradford have not been returned. At last check the lawyer/cop was working for former Houston Mayor Lee P. Brown at Brown Group International. The company with headquarters in Houston consults nationally and internationally on public safety and policy. Bradford left HPD after enduing and beating a county indictment for perjury and flack over a last minute raise given to him by Mayor Brown in the last days of their administration. Do you think Bradford would make a good sheriff for Harris County???? Your opinion is welcomed here at the Insite!!!!

He's too paranoid to be Sheriff. You see he's not reutrning your calls. A sheriff has to be accountable to the people who elect him. He and Brown were birds of a feather. They never communicated with the public and media and they always were on the defensive. I say no. He wouldn't make a good sheriff.

Wasn't his padded pension (courtesy of Lee P. Brown) enough to cover his living expenses?

Bradford should run, he would be a fresh air for a Department that is filled with good ole boys, racism, discrimination and who knows what else. Under Sheriff Thomas, more deputies has been killed, several questionable shooting of african-american men including one that was a peace officer, a death row inmate who walked out of the jail, mis-management of the Department that's gonna cost Harris County taxpayers millions of dollars, not counting up to million dollars in discrimination lawsuits that was settled out of court. Harris County need this change, this is long over-due. Chief Bradford got my vote, Run Brad Run......

  7. Bradford's certainly setting his sights high, isn't he? He's not satisfied with watching HPD crumble on his watch; now he wants to take his "expertise" county-wide.

As it is now, the Sheriff's Department is picking up HPD's slack.

    God help us.

I guess all the rednecks and good ole boys will be coming out. I wonder did they say that about Steve Radick when he hired the indicted judge?
