HOW WILL HOUSTON'S HIP HOP/ RAP CROWD REACT TO CRISTAL?

WILL THEY STILL BOTTLE POP IN HOUSTON?

Recent comments by the producers of the expensive champagne Cristal have turned the bling wearing, bottle popping, rap community on its head. Frédéric Rouzaud, who took over from his father as managing-director of Cristal, says that Roederer (The Maker of Cristal) has observed its association with rap with “curiosity and serenity”. When asked if an association between Cristal and the bling lifestyle could actually hurt the brand, he replies: “That’s a good question, but what can we do? We can’t forbid people from buying it. I’m sure Dom Pérignon or Krug would be delighted to have their business.” The question is will Houston's hip hop nightclub owners and members of the hip hop community still support the champagne. And the Insite's question is should they? By the way, rapper Jay Z has pulled the drink out of his 40/40 club. He reportedly sold 250 cases of the stuff this year alone before the controversy...

Their dumb asses shouldn't be throwing the money away on $200 a bottle champagne anyway - they should be drinking champale if they know like I know. Their money won't last forever, just like at Zro - He's got to go buy Miller Lite.

They should not support any of the companies that do not support them or there community. What have any of them done for the artists? Do you know of a Jay-Z/Christal champagne? They will take our money only if no one knows about it. We continue to support companies that have profited off of slavery. Just think about that when you go to cash your check at JP Morgan Chase. This is the same thing that Hilfiger did. Black people are the largest consumers in the nation and we choose to spend our funds on those that do not care about us. Ignorance is bliss.

The quotes in this blog aren't attacking hip hop? What is the problem?

If man wants to preserve his family's business and distance himself from racist thugs who make money off of ignorance and racism, he deserves a golf clap. Listening to wealthy people sing about thug life is one of the reasons foreigners think all Americans black and white are so racist, we are.

I don't think the owners of Cristal are going to be hurting in their pockets if a few thuggish negros boycott against their company. Those fools are SO IGNORANT. They are an embarrassment to black folks with real sense. The money they have now won't last them long, because they are too busy spending it on foolish crap, instead of investing it and trying to make a legacy for their next generation. IDIOTS! Can you tell I can't stand ignorant, thuggish rappers?
