THE PARTY KING MEETS HIS NEW BEST FRIEND!

By: Kalele 'Party King' Thumbutu - Monday night The Party King attended the Bartenders Ball that was sponsored by Jameson Irish Whiskey. The event was held at The Meridian (1503 Chartres St.) and was brought to Houston by Christy from Legacy Partners and promoter Candy Girl. The Bartenders Ball was a complimentary industry only event that allowed bartenders to become familiar with various drinks that can be created with the Irish Whisky( Irish honey = whisky + honey was my favorite of the lot) and gave bartenders the opportunity to be served drinks as opposed to serving them. The event had plenty of attractions for the audience to enjoy including a live band, a dj, human beatbox, thrill show, painted waitresses, and a station set up to play the gaming hit Guitar Hero 2/3. The special guest host was mini Britney Spears who performed some of the pop stars chart topping hits. Yuri “Human Beatbox” Lane impressed the crowd with his ability to replicate and duplicate the sounds of beat machines, instruments, and even helicopters using nothing more than the microphone and his mouth. There was a live performance by Smash-Up Derby, a rock band that takes two classic songs and sings lyrics to one hit song while playing the instrumentals to the other. The Lucky Daredevil Thrill show was just that a true thrill. Tyler Fyer started out placing foreign objects in and threw his nose and placing his assistant into a balloon and finished out the night by putting on a show that would impress a pyromaniac as well as a firefighter with his fire breathing, swallowing, and spewing spectacle.
