FORMER HPD UNION OFFICIAL NOW UNDER INVESTIGATION!

RONNIE MARTIN FORMERLY OF THE HOUSTON POLICE OFFICERS' UNION FINDS HIMSELF THE TARGET OF A HPD PROBE!

Two Houston Police officers, who are former Houston Police Officers’ Union (HPOU) officials, are currently under investigation as a result of a complaint initiated by the HPOU. The department’s Internal Affairs Division is conducting the investigation; however, the complaint has also been forwarded to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office based on certain allegations associated with the complaint.

Senior Officer Ronald L. Martin, sworn in date of April 1978, assigned to the Juvenile Division, has been relieved of duty pending the outcome of the investigation.

Senior Officer Jeffery D. Larson, sworn in date of January 1992, assigned to the Mobility Incident Management Division, will also be relieved of duty as part of the investigation.

As is customary in these types of matters, no further information will be available until the conclusion of the investigation.

BUT: The Insite has learned the two officers are under investigation for at least two seperate incidents. One being a union owned vehicle that was allegedly sold by one of the officers. The proceeds from that sale never made it into the union's bank account. The second allegation under investigation is alleged embezzlement. Thousands of dollars could be missing from the union's bank account....Keep checking back for details!
