4-MONTH OLD BABY IS DEAD AND NOW THEY'RE LOOKING FOR A PERSON OF INTEREST!
Galveston Police say they've identified a 21-year-old man as a person of interest in connection to the death of the baby boy who discovered near the east end of the seawall Tuesday morning.
Police say Travis Mullis is the biological father of the baby they think was found near a car seat in an area known as Cherry Hill. A mother from Alvin contacted police later in the day stating she hadn't seen her 4-month-old son since her husband took him Tuesday morning.
Police said the death may have been spontaneous because the baby boy appeared to be in good health before he suffered a head wound, which police suspect he sustained after possibly being thrown out of a moving vehicle. Police said the boy was even wearing a clean diaper and had a mid- to high-end car seat.
The child was discovered by a bird-watching couple, who called authorities around 9 a.m.
The child is described as a three to six-month-old white male with blondish hair. The boy was wearing only a diaper at the time of his discovery!
