THE END HAS COME FOR THE CAREER PROSECUTOR!
The Insite hears DA Chuck Rosenthal is resigning from office. He has submitted a letter of resignation to the Governor's office. Rosenthal cited his recent email scandal and impaired judgment for reasons to step down. Rosenthal has worked in the Harris County district attorney's since 1977. He has served as the chief prosecuotor for 8 years...No comment from Rosenthal so far. The Insite will keep you updated!
Update: The Harris County Republican party tells The Insite they will make a recommendation to the Governor's office for Rosenthal's replacement. Jared Woodfill and Paul Bettencourt say that recommendation will be that no one who is currently seeking the office for DA be considered. Woodfill says Rosenthal's first assistant should be considered temporarily then someone with no ties to Rosenthal should be brought in. Bettencourt says it would be an unfair advantage to appoint a current candidate to the position!
Does this means the THREE 24/7 sex spas next to our Elementary will finally get shut down? The DA always let the owners off with no charges. I figured the brothel owners had something dirty on him, otherwise why else would he never ever prosecute these brothel kingpins?
ReplyDeleteIt's about time he leaves. Hopefully a new mindset will permeate the District Attorney's Office.
ReplyDeleteFor too long it has been a shining example of the "criminal justice industry". Justice needs to be the reason for prosecuting individuals to the full extent of the law, not to use human beings as an excuse to bring wealth and power to those that benefit from the industry.
Those include police equipment suppliers, private jail owners, prison supply companies, chiefs who want more cops just for the hell of it, police officers who get to work for thousands of extra dollars a year under state mandated regulations (such as those mandating a "peace" officer to be present at construction sites), etc. etc.
Wouldn't it be great if this incredible expenditure of tax dollars and manhours was directed into actually building things that benefit society, instead of prison's for drug users and other petty criminals.
By the way how close are those three sex spas to the school? Maybe state law could mandate that new - and non-taxpaying churches - shall only be built right next to liquor stores, nightclubs, sex spas, topless joints, etc. After all their mission in life is to save souls, isn't it? Well also to sell books and take money from political candidates, but that a whole other story :-)
"instead of prison's for drug users and other petty criminals."
ReplyDeleteA drug user murdered a good friend of mine and another lasy during a robbery. What people don't understand is that these "non-violent" drug users are the ones burglarizing houses, robbing people, stealing, and doing anything to pay for their habit.
I just hope the black community supports someone who is qualified and not based on their skin color. Bradford is definitely not the answer based on his WORK track record, not to mention his morally corrupt personal life.
^^^Same goes for the white community and Kelly Siegler.
ReplyDeleteHey folks, how are y'all doing ?
ReplyDeleteOn Rosenthal stepping down, it's about time and he could go to federal prison like former Texas State Attorney General Dan Morales (D) did.
As for the November elections, you can count on former Houston Police Chief C.O. Bradford (D) winning the Harris County DA's office with 56 percent of the vote.
You can also expect Houston City Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem Adrian Garcia (D) to defeat incumbent Tommy Thomas (R) in the Harris County Sheriff's race: 56% to 44%.
As for the race for United States Senator here: I see 5-term State Rep. Rick Noriega (D-Houston) upsetting unpopular incumbent United States Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) in November, 49% to 48%-DEM GAIN.
^^^Same goes for the white community and Kelly Siegler.
ReplyDeleteThere is a major difference b/t Siegler and Bradford. Siegler is proven in the courtroom and is highly respected nationwide for her work as a prosecutor. People may not like her tactics, but the courtroom is no place to wear kid gloves. Bradford single handedly ruined HPD (K-mart,crime lab) and his courtroom experience is almost nonexistent.
I am not saying whites don't back someone based on color, but it is no where near the magnitude that the black community does. People should back a person based on that person's work experience and track record. With that said, anyone who backs Bradford is simply uninformed.
Chuck's FRIEND is what finally brought him down. ks' FRIEND is far more news appealing! Tick tock!
ReplyDelete:-)
When will the misery end? Kelly should go away and take danny boy with her...... oops, I mean the good DR.
