HOUSTON ATTORNEY LLOYD KELLEY GETS A FRESH START ON PART OF HIS RECORD!

A SECOND CASE OF EXPUNCTION WAS DENIED!

Harris County prosecutors have agreed to go along with a request to expunge a dismissed assault charge against the lawyer leading the charge to have District Attorney Chuck Rosenthal found in contempt of court.

The expunction order — which becomes final once state District Judge Caroline Baker signs it — means all court documents relating to a 1999 assault charge against attorney Lloyd Kelley must be destroyed.

But Kelley was not entitled to an expunction of a separate reckless driving charge because the offense was a Class B misdemeanor resulting in deferred adjudication, assistant district attorney Brian Rose said.

Kelley's expunction request was considered Monday in Baker's court.
