SHE LOCKED HER DOOR AT RECORD SPEED AS THE INSITE APPROACHED!The Insite was in Deer Park covering the Andy Pettitte story on Wednesday when I got really ticked off. I was interviewing people in the parking lot of a local HEB about the recent baseball and steroids scandal involving Roger Clemens and Pettitte. Several people agreed to talk with my photographer and I for the short time we were there. Then I walked to ask this white female if she would give a comment. The woman quickly and rudely said no and then it was as if she'd seen a black (Insite: Boooo!) ghost. She actually had fear in her eyes, jumped in her car as fast as she could and locked the door. That's what really got me, she locked her door as if I were a mugger. What in the world. I was so upset with this clown I wanted to actually confront her for her silly behavior. I was ticked off. What are you running from silly lady. Do you think I want to rip off your purse or steal your Toyota. I still can feel the anger and disgust. It's like those ladies who clutch their purses when you get into an elevator with them. Just the Insite venting. My photog told me I had to let it go as he fell to the floor laughing at her record speed of locking her car door!
Dude, I had a white woman lock her car door, unlock it, then lock it a second time. Double-bolted!

ReplyDeleteIt is definitely a white fear things because and don't feel bad Isiah, let them live in fear because I hate going to the mall every white woman you approach passively starts that two handed stap clutch and then when you pass her she release the stap when she passes a white gentlemen.
ReplyDeleteI made this observation for years try it yourself. goto any store and you see that black woman are not that uptight when you approach them in walking.
White women are just hardwired that way. Yes purse snatching do occur unfortunately but Its just JOLO observation.
I just let them get scared and at times I'll even give them then evil eye to instill more fear into them.
The bottom line most white people are going to have that fear about a black person approaching them until they establish a period of comfort with them and that it the truth.
because I don't even want whats in white women purses I just want the purse.

ReplyDeleteFolks we all know that racism still exists. But before you go saying white this, white that, I'll remind you that there are good and bad folks no matter what color you are.
I'm white but my family came to America a generation ago(post WWII). So how could my family or I put you down? My grandmother was enslaved herself by the Germans. As a young women she was forced to work night and day for a wealthy family in Austria. Taken from her family in Yugoslavia and transplanted without no one knowing where she was.
When my family got to America they were treated as second class citizens by fellow countrymen that had emigrated before them. My father lived in horrible places and situations when he was growing up.
He learned the language while he sat in the classroom not understanding a word that anyone was saying. We have not all had the easy road!
As far as watching ones back is concerned, I watch my back no matter what I am doing. I don't care what color you are. If your walking close or putting me in an awkward position, I'm gonna do something to make myself safe.
So please remember that we, whites, are not all bad. When you are venting remember that not everyone in this world is trying to put you down. I work for a competing television station and I fight for the rights and justice of all people. I don't care what color they are or what language they speak. God does not care so why should we. I pray for peace in all our hearts!!
