THE JACKPOT IS $270 MILLION DOLLARS!

DO YOU ALL EVER PLAY THE LOTTERY? WHY AND WHY NOT?

The jackpot in the multistate Mega Millions lottery drawing grew to $270 million Wednesday.
None of the tickets sold for Tuesday's $220 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball. The next drawing will be Friday. There were 15 second-prize winners from Tuesday night's drawing, matching all five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number to win $250,000 each. Also, 85 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. The winning numbers from Tuesday's drawing were: 1, 38, 42, 55 and 56. The Mega Ball number was 34.

Question: Do you play the lottery? Tell the Insite why or why not!

I don't ever buy lottery tickets. I believe it is a way to take money out of the pockets of the poor.

My husband however says "you can't win if you don't play." I counter that he hasn't won anything over $20 in years but will easily spend that in two weeks on lottery tickets.

I don't see anything going on here but the rent!

  2. The reasons I didn't play in the past were all from financial freedom (bible study) classes. The reason I play now, is because prayer is not fixing my roof and my mold problem fast enough (and I do NOT make the money as a single parent), so a little lotto leg up would be right on time, until I get a writing deal. LOL

  3. I don't play the lottery routinely because I never see large winners in the city where I live. The winners always seem to be out in the middle of nowhere or small towns on the edges of the big cities.

I can't prove it, but I think the lottery department redlines metro areas.
