Republican Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee was in Houston Thursday. He was met by dozens of supporters 8 in the morning at the Renaissance Hotel. Huckabee promised his supporters he would push the Fair Tax and shut down the IRS. He also says he wants to beef up the military and keep America armed and ready. The former Arkansas Governor also says he's in Texas because it's crucial to his campaign. He says it was important for him to stay in the race otherwise Republicans wouldn't have a choice. The former Baptist minister, who lived in Texas for four years and his first son was born here, says there are some who want him out of the race but that's not going to happen. Huckabee sat down in an one on one interview with The Insite for the second time. He also joked at the opening of the press conference he couldn't believe The Insite still had a job in Houston. I covered him while he was Governor in Arkansas back in the 90's. Thanks for dogging me Guv!
