WHO SHOULD BE WEARING THE WHITE HOOD?On my drive to work Friday I was listening to a morning AM talk show on KTRH radio. There was this caller who identified himself as Big O. He said he thought Barak Obama was a racist because the caller said quote "he's a Caucasian and Negro but yet he sides with the minorities." I was shocked at the statement of the caller. He calls Obama a racist for allegedly embracing his Blackness but in the same breath Big O calls the Presidential candidate a Negro. What's your opinion on this and who would you consider a racist? By the way, the talk show host told Big O not to use the antiquated term while calling into the program. The Insite would love to hear your comments on this matter!
I'm white and I think the caller is a moron. It is unfortunate that in this day and time, the 21st century, there are still so many small-narrow minded backwoods Texas folk who aren't even worthy of being called ignorant.

All these white people are so scared of Obama winning I just have to laugh. Have you ever seen a white man or a white woman raise hell and then turn real red in the face and get extremly nervous. ReplyDeleteThere are people who just aren't going to vote for a black man for president. some of them black because they'r scared he going to get "Shot" if he becomes president. and there are some whites and hispanics who's not going to vote for a black man just because he's black.

I think the race issue is just stupid. C'mon people, its the 21st century, we all bleed the same color, and we're all human beings.
ReplyDeleteWith that said, I think Obama, is the right man for the job, He is actually the epitome of what America is supposed to stand for. "The Melting Pot". Not only is he Black/White, he is also American Indian as well.
But beyond that, I think Obama breaks the mold, because he goes against the same political rhetoric that is used by both democrats and republicans. I say all of this, and I'm Half American Indian and Half Irish, so trust me, race is not an issue for me.
